Vehicle Tracking Service (VTS) will provide you with round the clock security and tracking of your vehicle using satellite GPS & GSM communication.  Using GP VTS, you can see your vehicle’s position, speed, and engine status on a map. The information will be visible in your own mobile app and website.

Grameenphone has three (3) VTS packages- Economy, Lite and Standard. Grameenphone VTS requires a tracking device to be connected to your vehicle. GP VTS will further allow you to have customized setting for your vehicle like- go-no go area, notification for crossing speed limit and many more features.

1. What is the Insurance Offer?

GP VTS Insurance is a FREE Accidental Life and disability insurance coverage for Grameenphone VTS subscribers.

2.Who is eligible for the product?

The coverage will be available for all existing eligible & active VTS subscribers (after 08th October, 2018) where the insured person is within the age group of 18- 65.

3.What is the Insurance Offering?

4. What are the terms & conditions?

Following are the terms & conditions:

  • The insurance coverage benefit is a free-of-cost service being provided to eligible active Grameenphone Vehicle Tracking Service subscribers (primary insured).
  • The coverage will be available for all existing, eligible & active VTS subscribers (after 08th October, 2018)
  • For Individual customers, either VTS owner or vehicle driver (secondary insured) shall be insured but benefit will be for 1 person per calendar year.
  • Coverage for driver (Secondary Insured) will be depending on the VTS owner’s discretion
  • For business customers having multiple vehicles with GP VTS: employees of the organization shall be covered (1 (one) person per vehicle per year).
  • The coverage will also be available for customers who have newly purchased VTS (eligible & active) and from 2nd bill’s calendar month from the date of purchase.
  • Eligibility:
    • Any accident must be verified by Police GD or Police Report (in death cases)
    • The policy owner or the insured person must have been present, during the accident, in a Grameenphone VTS installed vehicle.
    • Age of insured person must be between 18 and 65.
    • The insured person must qualify under each specified category of benefit.
    • The policy owner’s VTS connection must have all due bills cleared to get the benefit.
    • Policy owner shall not enjoy coverage if the VTS connection was inactive (no charging/disconnected)
  • A disconnected customer can enjoy insurance coverage after:
    • Paying of all due bills
    • Getting re-connected (may require calling 121 or a visit to GPC)
    • From 2nd bill’s (after reconnection date) calendar month.
  • To keep the coverage up and running, customer has to keep their monthly fee paid on a regular basis within due date.
  • A customer on due date of the respective month, upon payment of all dues, will be considered covered
  • Insurance coverage will be administered on a calendar month basis.
  • Claim settlement depends on subject to the submission of proper documentation.
  • Insufficient or forged documentation will be treated as rejected
  • The free-of-cost coverage can be cancelled with 7 days of prior notice
  • In case of driver’s death owners will be eligible to lodge claim
  • If customer shares any wrong/invalid/false/concocted information, authority reserves right to reject the claim at any point.
  • For claim settlement, the final decision shall be with the underwriter (insurance company).
  • Any claim has to be submitted with-in 90 (ninety) days from the date of the incident/accident 

5. Who is providing the insurance coverage?

  • The free-of-cost insurance benefit is being sponsored by Grameenphone Ltd.
  • The insurance coverage will be provided by Pragati Life Insurance Limited in cooperation with Microensure.

Hence, Grameenphone shall not be responsible & accountable for any dispute & complaints arising from insurance related claims.

6. How to enroll for the insurance coverage?

For New VTS Customer:

The insurance offering is free with GP VTS service. So after the GP VTS purchase, customer will be enrolled from the second calendar month of bill cycle automatically.  Customer simply needs to fill out the insurance form available via GPC/GPCF/Enterprise.

For existing VTS Customer:

As it is free insurance with the GP VTS Product, so all the existing active customers will be enrolled on monthly coverage.

For declaring nominee information, customers need to e-mail gpts.enrollment@microensure.com

with a completed form.

7.Who will be considered as GPVTS active customer?

Active will be meant as: In a calendar month, VTS connection has been paid the bill amount.

8.How to avail the coverage regularly?

To keep the coverage up and running customer has to keep their monthly fee paid in a regular basis within due date.

9.What is the coverage period?

The coverage period will be on a calendar month basis.

10.When the coverage will start?

For New VTS Customer:

The coverage will be available for newly purchased customers (eligible & active) from 2nd bill’s calendar month.

For Existing VTS Customer:

Existing customer has to keep their monthly fees paid in a regular basis within due date to ensure renewal of coverage. If he was active last month, he will get coverage for the existing month provided all due-amounts are paid.

A disconnected customer can enroll insurance coverage after:

  1. Paying of all due bills
  2. Getting re-connected (may require calling 121 or a visit to GPC)
  3. From 2nd bill’s (after reconnection date) calendar month.

11.Who will get the insurance coverage?

For Individual Customers: 

The insurance will cover a joint life (Owner / Driver) coverage whereas benefit is will be for either of the insured due to the accidental incident.

For Business Customers: 

The insurance will cover an employee of the organization who has been in an accident within the GP VTS installed vehicle.

12.If insured VTS owner died who will receive the coverage amount?

In case of insured person death, the nomine will receive the coverage amount.

13.Who will get the insurance coverage if driver/employee die?

If the driver dies, the coverage will be given to the VTS owner. And owner will decide the weather the amount to give driver’s family or not.

Business Customer: In case of insured person’s death, the company will receive the coverage amount.

14.What if in the same incident both owner and driver die?

The owner’s nominee will be able to raise the claim for owner.

15. What If in the same incident owner and driver or more than one employee get injured?

In case of multiple injuries, a single person’s claim can be lodged per incident.

16.Individual: What If in the same incident any one (owner/driver) die and other get injured?

If one died and other have injury in this situation one claim will be accepted, either a death claim or an accidental claim.

17. How to raise a claim?

For accidental claim customer has to raise the claim. To raise claim customer has to send a properly fill out and signed form to gpts.claim@microensure.com. The form is available at GPC/GPCF or at Grameenphone website.

18.What are the required documents for claim?

For all requirements of documentations, Micro-ensure will call back the claimant within 24 working hours on further proof for submission.

19. How customer will acknowledged about the claim recipient?

After a claim raise by customer, s/he will receive a call within 24 working hours for acknowledgement and information about further process and documentation.

20.How customer will share the claim documents?

The customer can share the scanned claim documents easily via email to gpts.claim@microensure.com

21.How long it will take to settle the claim?

After submission of all the required documents by customer, it will take 7 working days to settle the claim.

23.How will a company (B2B) get the coverage?

The insurance will cover an employee of the organization who has been in an accident within the GP VTS installed vehicle. For any guidance or information, assigned KAM will guide how to enroll and how to raise claim.

24. How will a company raise a claim?

To raise claim KCP has to send a properly fill out and signed (by KDM) form to gpts.claim@microensure.com. The form is available at GPC/GPCF or at Grameenphone website.

Any B2B customer can raise a claim via company contact person to GP Key Account Manager.

25. How will a company fill out claim form?

Any B2B customer has to follow the same form available for general claim. But he/she has to provide company seal and company bank account detail. In case of company claim, no personal account will be accepted.

26. Which bank account information share in case of company claim?

There has to be the company bank account detail, not any personal.
